CLIMB Wyoming, a nonprofit organization that trains and places single mothers in careers that successfully support their families, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Brown Mathews as Statewide Director of Development.

Brown Mathews will take on the role currently held by Sue Mason, who will transition to a new statewide leadership role for CLIMB as the Statewide Director of Major Giving.

“Due to decreases in our federal funding, private fundraising has become more integral to our sustainability and we now have two strong leaders at the helm of our development efforts,” said Dr. Ray Fleming Dinneen, CLIMB Founder and Executive Director.  “We are committed to a diversified development structure to ensure that our critical program is available to struggling single mothers across the state for many years to come.”

Brown Mathews joins CLIMB with 20 years of development experience including roles as the Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity in Loveland, CO, Constituent Development Officer at the University of Wyoming Foundation, and most recently as the Major Gifts and Member Stewardship Manager at Wyoming Public Media.

“I have deep roots in Wyoming and a great love for our State and its people,” said Brown Mathews.  “I am honored to lend my expertise to CLIMB, to support their historical success and continue their efforts toward a balanced and diversified funding structure.”

“As we look to continue our current programming and explore innovative ways to support our participants in their quest for financial independence, we are delighted to add Sarah to our statewide leadership team,” said Ray Fleming Dinneen, CLIMB Founder and Executive Director.
