Through some tough times in her life, Tasha says she “always had Climb to lean on.” Now a project manager for Simon Contractors in Cheyenne, Tasha advises current Climb participants entering careers in welding, construction and truck driving.

She hired three Climb graduates in her past project manager position with C.H. Yarber Construction and continues to serve as a mock interviewer for construction-related Climb trainings.

Each day, Tasha supervises as many as five different concrete, dirt and asphalt job sites while managing up to 25 people—so she knows what employers expect in this industry.

“It’s tough work,” she tells Climb moms. “I tell them what it’s like to be a woman in a man’s world. I tell them my story and how I got into construction. I say that it’s a great opportunity and you have to be determined. I say, ‘If I can do it, you can do it too.’”
