What we do

Climb breaks the generational cycle of poverty.

While supporting Wyoming’s workforce needs.

A Mom’s Life Impacts Generations

Climb Wyoming uses a relationship-driven approach as we provide job training and career placement, mental health services, and connections to resources that help moms find success in all areas of life.

Single moms and their children have the highest rate of poverty in Wyoming. When a mom moves out of poverty, it has a ripple effect on her whole family. Her resilience and strength impacts her children’s lives, schools, communities, and Wyoming’s economy for generations to come.

Our impact

Climb helps moms see themselves in a different way, opening up a new path forward that was invisible to them before.

Using Brain Science to Change Lives

With a program model deeply based in neuroscience, Climb Wyoming’s team knows what it takes to create psychologically-informed environments and support moms in healing from the trauma of generational poverty. From helping participants develop executive functioning skills to growing mental wellness, the Climb method is rooted in research with strong outcomes for moms and their children.

To learn more about “The Brain Science of Poverty,” watch this short video featuring organizational psychologist Dr. Anjali Nandi.

“Research indicates when we grow up in poverty as children, we are much more likely to stay in poverty – generation after generation. Climb’s data shows incredible outcomes. Moms get to heal, just by being with Climb.”

The Power of Group

Climb’s program intentionally creates social capital between the women in each group. These relationships build confidence and illustrate the value of making connections—with each other and with their community.

73% of Climb participants report improved executive functioning skills after the program, including planning and decision making, emotional regulation, and working memory.
