Caring for Seniors
Ariana and Courtney (above) practice patient care skills. The moms in this program came to Climb with a strong interest in healthcare, especially caring for the elderly. According to AARP, two-thirds of Wyoming nursing homes are understaffed, the second-highest rate in the nation.
Mock Interviews
Volunteers from several Cheyenne area employers and partners came in to serve as mock interviewers, an important opportunity for participants to practice and receive feedback. The interviews were especially helpful for women who were new to professional resumes and interviewing.

The Power of Working in Groups
Climb intentionally works in groups because of the important social capital and connections that develop as moms work together and practice communication skills necessary for successful employment. Cheyenne’s recent group really benefited from this model, sharing their experiences, navigating the ups and downs of parenting, and cheering each other on as they begin new careers.
