Fiscal Manager

Join one of Wyoming’s most innovative nonprofits as our Fiscal Manager. In this role, you’ll oversee financial accounting systems, payroll, and employee records while ensuring compliance across multiple states. You’ll manage grant budgets, reporting, and audits, and provide leadership to strengthen fiscal processes across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and skilled in both accounting and payroll systems. You’ll play a key role in supporting staff and contractors, maintaining accurate financial records, and advancing Climb’s mission to help families reach self-sufficiency and break the cycle of poverty for generations to come.

ABOUT CLIMB WYOMING

Climb Wyoming’s mission is to help low-income single mothers discover self-sufficiency through career training and placement. To date, the program has helped thousands of families overcome poverty, the effects of which will be felt for generations to come. The basis of the Climb model is a job training and placement program, but there is more to permanent life change than getting a job. Essential elements of the Climb model include skills that ensure successful relationships on the job and far into the future.

YOU ARE

  • Detail-oriented and confident navigating accounting and payroll systems
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with an eye toward solving problems and process improvements
  • Organized and adept at tracking deadlines across grants, reporting, and compliance requirements
  • A clear communicator, collaborative and supportive – someone who thrives within a mixture of daily team interaction and substantial independent work

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s degree and 3+ Years of relevant experience overseeing accounting / payroll systems
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and payroll compliance
  • Previous supervision experience a plus

MORE DETAILS

  • This position will report to the Statewide Director of Finance
  • Full-time, 40-hour per week position with a salary range of $65K – $75K, plus benefits
  • This position is ideally based in Cheyenne or Laramie, but we are open to candidates from other areas
