10 moms
22 children

“I was really impressed by this group’s energy, eagerness to learn, and the way they supported each other. These moms understand that as they improve their lives, they improve their children’s lives, too.

Professional Careers Training

For most participants in Cheyenne’s recent training, Climb was their first step into professional careers, and they were really excited and ready to learn everything possible. Training was held at Laramie County Community College and included in-depth computer literacy skills, Microsoft Office™, billing, and scheduling. They also practiced customer service skills, maintaining office equipment, and workplace professionalism.

The Power of Working in Groups

Working in a group allowed participants to open up and be received with care and compassion, not only by Climb staff but also by other moms. Together, they practiced healthy communication skills, vulnerability, developing trust, and processing conflict in a safe and healthy way. These important skills will directly contribute to lasting employment success.

Connections to Community Resources

Climb’s Cheyenne team worked closely with the women in this program to access community support, including childcare, safe housing, legal guidance, and school resources for their children. These connections allowed moms to gain critical stability for their families during training and as they moved into job placements and new careers.
