Gifts through a Will or Living Trust
A gift made through a will or living trust continues your tradition of giving to Climb Wyoming after your lifetime. The following sample language may be used when discussing a bequest to Climb with your professional advisor.
Fixed dollar amount
“I give, devise and bequeath the sum of $___ dollars to Climb, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization existing under the laws of the State of Wyoming and headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to be used in accordance with the mission and vision of Climb.”
Stated percent of estate
“I give, devise, and bequeath ____ percent (%) of my estate to Climb, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization existing under the laws of the State of Wyoming and headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to be used in accordance with the mission and vision of Climb.”
Residue of estate
“I give, devise and bequeath all of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate to Climb, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization existing under the laws of the State of Wyoming and headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to be used in accordance with the mission and vision of Climb.”
General bequest or bequest for specific purposes
The most useful bequest to Climb is unrestricted for the general mission of Climb, which permits us to use your gift wherever it is most needed at the time.
>> If you wish to specify a use for your bequest, we ask that you consult with Climb to ensure that the gift you are considering is practicable and appropriate and that Climb can comply with your wishes in the future.
Gifts of Stock
Appreciated assets are a great way to make a gift to Climb Wyoming and may result in a cost savings to you. We are happy to accept gifts of stock and encourage you to consult with your financial planning professionals to determine any tax benefits. A gift of stock can be transferred by contacting Jean Lewis at 307-413-0623.
Gifts of Retirement Assets
Designating Climb as the beneficiary for all or a part of your retirement plan (such as an IRA, 401(k), profit sharing, Keogh, or 403(b) plan), can be an effective way to make a charitable gift, and may also result in tax benefits.
