– Randi

A Confidence Boost
Many women in the Sweetwater Area’s recent program came to Climb unemployed or working in low-wage jobs without opportunities for advancement. Earning a Commercial Driver’s License has provided them with a new path forward to earn higher wages and find financial independence.
“As moms have started job placements that offer better pay than what they earned before Climb, we’ve really seen positive changes in their self-confidence. They are feeling capable and successful!”
– Kristy, Sweetwater Area Program Director
In collaboration with Western Wyoming Community College, this training required participants to learn every part of a truck, and the group went above and beyond what was required, earning certificates in forklift operation and CPR and First Aid. Indoor simulators at the training site provided additional opportunities to practice different driving scenarios.
