Meeting Casper’s Workforce Needs
Casper’s Office Careers program was developed with input from employers to address critical workforce needs in the community. For this reason, the training included a focus on medical administrative skills such as medical billing, coding, and terminology.
Employers:
- Ark Animal Hospital
- Casper Family Vision Clinic
- Optimal Physical Therapy
- Express Employment Professionals
- Gastro Care Partners/ Gastroenterology Associates
- Banner Wyoming Medical Center
Tools for Success
Local optometrist Dr. Nathan Edwards with Casper Family Vision Clinic supported this group with prescription eyewear needs through a special source of funding, a critical service that gives moms the tools to succeed in employment. The clinic also became an employer partner, hiring graduate Ashley as an Optometric Technician.
A Place to Call Home
Homelessness and other serious housing issues were a concern for some participants coming into this program. By gaining higher-paying careers, they now have greater financial self-sufficiency, and several moms have moved their families into stable housing that gives children the safety and security to thrive.
