Thriving Families

Before Climb, many of the women in the Teton Area’s recent program juggled multiple jobs to try to make ends meet as a single parent, often doing shift work that required late nights and weekends away from their children. They now have opportunities for professional jobs that offer family-friendly schedules, higher pay, and benefits that will help their families grow and thrive.

Helping Women’s Skills and Strengths Shine

Climb trainers work one-on-one with each participant to help her discover natural abilities and interests that she can take into the workplace. Some of the moms in this program particularly enjoyed learning Microsoft Excel® and QuickBooks® and realized they have an aptitude for numbers and accounting. “Climb’s approach to job training is unique in that it builds on the experiences women have had in their lives so far while also revealing talents that they hadn’t had the opportunity to develop previously,” says trainer Betsy Trowbridge, pictured above working with a graduate.
