– Katie, Climb Teton Area Graduate
Skills for Professional Success
Climb is the first time many participants had guidance on essential professional skills like creating a resume, building references, and practicing interview strategies. Combined with mental health support and life skills classes, this work readiness paid off with job placements at Teton Valley Dental Center, JH Mountain Dental, Teton County Access to Justice, Senior Center of Jackson Hole, High Country Behavioral Health, and Brown Cat Bookkeeping.
$20
Average hourly wage increase for graduates of Climb’s Medical Administrative Assistant training, which taught in-demand skills for working in medical offices and clinics, like insurance and billing, customer service, and Microsoft Office.
Stability for Families
Climb’s staff worked closely with this group to help them access much-needed resources during the program, especially reliable and affordable childcare, which is hard to find in this area. Securing affordable housing and access to food were also critical as moms focused on taking new steps into professional jobs.
“Being a parent is one of the hardest jobs we have. The parent-child relationship is a symbiotic dance where both parent and child play a role in creating a strong relationship. In Climb’s parenting classes, it’s so apparent how much these moms love their kids and want the best for them.”
– Rachel Wigglesworth, Climb Parenting Instructor & Growing Great Families Founder
